Darwin helps Lugano beat Servette
It seems as if Darwin (Etihad) airline helped Lugano ice hockey team beat Servette in the play-off last Saturday night.
In the afternoon of Saturday, 7 March, a Darwin (Etihad) aircraft flew empty from Geneva to Lugano, then came back with passengers at 5h20 pm. It seems almost certain that this charter flight brought the Lugano ice hockey team to Geneva for their important play-off match against Genève Servette, thus saving them from a long ride in their team bus (which probably came to Geneva anyway). If so, then the result was good for Lugano, because they thrashed the Geneva team 7-2.
It seems as if Lugano did the same thing for the match of 3 March, but that did not turn out quite so well for them: they lost 1-2 to Servette after a very tense last couple of minutes.
There is no obvious sign of Servette going to Lugano by a special charter flight.
Maybe Servette should think about that before the next match tomorrow, 10 March!
